PARTNERSHIP
Out East is proud to announce an exclusive rosé partnership with Domaine de la Croix, an award-winning rosé producer located in the heart of the iconic Saint-Tropez peninsula. Together they have created Out East Cru Classé Rosé to appeal to a sophisticated consumer seeking complex, terroir-driven, best-in-class rosé wine.
ORIGINS
With a unique microclimate bathed in sea air and sunshine, this exceptional coastal terroir produces precisely vinified wines of elegance, freshness and finesse which are all sustainably produced
Here, the sun-drenched grape varieties benefit from beautiful maritime influences, conducive to their development. As a result, the Domaine's diversified terroirs produce high quality grapes. The soils, heterogeneous but predominantly sandy-shale, allow the roots to penetrate deeply. This feature makes the vines less sensitive to lack of water, while promoting complexity and finesse of the aromas.
PRODUCTION
The modern facilities at Domaine de la Croix are highlighted by cutting-edge underground cellar designed by the Saint-Tropez architect François Vieillecroze, which houses high-performance, latest-generation equipment for ultra precise vinification.
The cellar features thermo-regulated double-wall stainless steel tanks (6,000 hectolitres each) filled with grapes using a gravity-flow technique, pneumatic presses in an inert gas system, a beautiful barrel cellar and resolutely contemporary tasting rooms, all designed to save water and energy.
The estate is led by Diane Nublat, the youngest female Director General of a major French winery and works in collaboration with Michel Rolland, one of the world’s most renowned oenologists to produce wines that are highly precise in terms of their fruit flavors and fineness.
SUSTAINABILITY
Out East Cru Classé Rosé has been awarded the highest level of sustainability certification in France. Haute Valuer Environmental (HVE) - literally High Environmental Value - is an official recognition by the French Ministry of Agriculture of the environmental performance of our vineyards and winemaking practices. HVE Certification covers four key areas:
1. BIODIVERSITY:
Protecting our land and promoting biodiversity to maintain balanced and healthy agricultural ecosystems.
2. PLANT PROTECTION:
Reducing the use of pesticides and fungicides and working towards 0 residues in our wines.
3. FERTILIZER MANAGEMENT:
Utilizing fertilization products in a minimally invasive and rational manner.
4. WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
Efficient use of water in all farming and winemaking practices.
This certification offers a guarantee that the pressure applied to the environment by farming practices (on air, water, soil, climate, biodiversity and landscape) is kept to a minimum. Beyond viticultural practices, this label also takes into account the vineyard’s environment and encourages us to have a global agro-environmental reflection.
We are thankful to our winegrowers, cellar managers and production teams for their commitment to environmental sustainability.
